Get Fiber to Your Home - Installation Assistance Available

Limited funding to help cover installation costs for underground or long drops

Getting fiber from the road to your home shouldn't be a barrier to high-speed internet access.

Maple Broadband secured grant funding to help cover installation costs for properties far from the road or that require new conduit installations within our active service area in Addison County. This program ensures more households can connect to our fiber network, regardless of their distance from the road.

Buried service requires property owner permission. Routes deviating from lowest-cost path may incur additional customer charges. Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) self-attestation required for program eligibility. This program funding is available to qualifying new Maple Broadband customers only.

About This Program

  • Covers some or all of the costs above and beyond our standard installation fee

  • Priority given to customers already registered in our system and those with lower household incomes

  • Available to all eligible households - income-restrictions may apply

Important Details

  • Limited funding - When the grant money is spent, the program ends. So act now!

  • Service commitment - One month of service is required for every $500 in assistance, 6 month minimum

  • Simple process - Express interest now, review your minimum service commitment, then decide

  • No payment today - You're just getting in line for assistance

  • Spring start date - Construction for underground service will not begin until spring 2026

WHAT YOUR NEIGHBORS ARE SAYING:

My only regret is that we didn't make the switch sooner to Maple Broadband.

My recommendation is that if you're currently frustrated with an entity that doesn't have ties to Vermont, you'll be glad to make the switch to Maple Broadband.

My download speeds are 2x faster and upload speeds are nearly 10x faster.

There have been no outages and I haven't noticed significant lag in the evening (a problem I have had with Xfinity everywhere I have lived).

I’ve had Maple for 15 months here in Middlebury, not a single outage or speed issue.

I mostly work from home and need to have a good connection, not to mention me and the kids game, and the whole family streams. I've been super pleased with them.

"I recently saw some questions about the reliability of the newer Maple Broadband service in comparison to others such as Verizon, Comcast, and others. I previously had Verizon My-Fi, a good service for a couple devices but not great for a whole house to run on.

We made the switch to Maple Broadband a couple weeks ago, opting for the 100mbps package.

I can say without a doubt this was a great switch.

Verizon's My-Fi had marketed a speed of about 3mbps yet I would only be getting about 300kbps, roughly 10%.  Maple Broadband on the other hand said the package would be 100 mbps and when I checked it actually came out to 120mbps, exceeding their estimates.

We have had zero issues with the internet going out or slowing down, primarily thanks to the fiber optic system. This speed has allowed us to do downloads and file transfers that in the past would require a trip to the library to get better WiFi access. The technicians who installed the router were also very knowledgeable and kind.

Overall I would say Maple Broadband has emerged as a great option for rural Vermonters who have had to deal with providers that were pricey for the reliability issues. Maple Broadband has solved this issue in a way that shows they truly care about the customer rather than just profits. I highly recommend them to anyone, especially those who have dealt with past internet frustrations.
